Dreamy Blond Titan of the '90s

Like Kevin Levrone, with no prior coverage in the muscle mags, Mike Francois emerged out of the blue in the early ‘90s to win a major contest, in Mike’s case one of the early Musclemania shows. I remember seeing this ‘American Muscle’ clip when it first ran, and how exciting it was to discover this new, stunning young bodybuilder. He’s fully formed here, massive and cut, with tremendous legs and an awesome upper body, with big arms and amazing traps. His handsome face, his neat blond hair and especially, his shy, soft-spoken manner, coupled with that godlike body, make the perfect fantasy lover, powerful yet seemingly gentle. His little pink shorts add to the effect. While Mike was rightly praised for his great quad development, his enormous pecs capture my attention here, even as he trains two other body parts. In both instances, the footage shifts to black-and-white, as if to better focus our attention. First, we get a nice slow-motion-worthy side view of his chest as he pumps his big arms with dumbbell curls. Toward the end, as he does hack squats on a sled machine, the camera shoots upward, giving us an amazing vantage point of his monstrous chest looming out of his ‘Get Huge’ tank top, tasty nipples peeking out the sides. One more dip down, and then we get an even better view as the whole screen overflows with muscle, at an angle we would dearly love to see in real life.
