Given the brief span of his porn career (1980-1982), Bo Richards was neither a 'vintage' or 'Golden Age of Trade' figure--but he comes directly out of that grand tradition. Born in 1961 in Junction City, Kansas, he headed for LA in his late teens and worked as a union welder until his good looks and anything-goes nature led to a bit of hustling on the side--and, of course, the inevitable photo shoot by AMG's Bob Mizer. (If you're not too distracted by the yummy 3-piece set he displays at the beginning of this silent clip, you'll see from the sign-board under it that his last name didn't have the 's' used in his Nova Studio credits.) Writing in 'Physique Pictorial,' Bob noted that Bo was highly anal-erotic--a part of his personality made gratifyingly plain here--adding that plans for some hot wrestling flix were shelved when Bo had to leave town "to take care of legal matters." Indeed, it's his bad-boy aura and the tats (serious ink of the he-man sort) that point up his affinity with the Golden Age crowd of beautiful bruisers and losers.
