Unlike naughty David O'Boyle (seen in my last 'period trade' posting), Billy Hawkins was a very good boy--perhaps because he had a Mormon upbringing in Salt Lake City. Born on August 5, 1941, he relocated in LA when he was just 16, and after lots of still-photo posing for Bob Mizer (of AMG), did this solo shoot. The clip, following an "and-then-I woke-up" scenario, shows him perusing both a copy of "Young Physique"--whose much-smitten editor featured him as often as Mizer did in "Physique Pictorial"--and then his own personal preference in reading material, "Stag." Nicely put together at 5' 7"/ 140 lbs., Billy cheerfully made the rounds among the rich & famous in LA & environs, but, in sharp contrast to most other working boys of his day, never developed a drug problem or wandered off into a life of crime. For all we know, he eventually realized his ambition of running a gym of his own. Let's hope so.

He won a Jr. Mr. Muscle Beach competition in the 50's. I would have loved to have seen that. Beautiful young man!

Billy had a fine lean, sinewy body that showed off his muscle definition well. A cute young lad he was!!

I forgot to mention that (as usual) you'll probably need to switch players in order to see this clip in its proper aspect/ratio--4:3. Otherwise it will be distorted by a 'spread' image.
