Bob Paris in heavyweight posedown at 1983 Nationals. He also won overall and NPC World. I was fortunate to be in the audience at this show in San Jose, California. 27 years ago...probably before some of you were even born. He had stiff competition..including Mendenhall, Gaspari, Leidermeyer and Christian.

Now in the 80's that was what bodybuilders looked like and too bad they do not look like this today.

Probably the only top level BB amateur to come out of the closet, and at a time when no other athletes were coming out. Very courageous of him. Bob Paris, I salute you!

Talk about a stage filled with loaded pouches!! And Paris had the biggest of them all. You know he won that contest because of his big bulge. There was probably a bidding war among the judges for that tight blue posing strap.
